This policy explains what information QuickCalcMoney ("we", "us") handles when you use quickcalcmoney.com (the "Site"). In short: you do not need an account, the numbers you type into our calculators stay in your browser, and we do not sell personal information.
Information we do not collect
- Calculator inputs. Earnings, miles, expenses and every other value you enter are processed locally in your browser. They are not sent to our servers or stored by us.
- Accounts. We do not offer accounts and do not ask for your name, Social Security number or financial account numbers.
Information handled when you visit
- Hosting logs. The Site is hosted on Cloudflare. When you load a page, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver and secure the Site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Third-party resources. Pages load fonts and code libraries from Google Fonts, the Tailwind CSS CDN, unpkg (Lucide icons) and jsDelivr (Chart.js). These providers receive your IP address and browser details when your browser requests those files, under their own privacy policies.
- Email. If you email us or subscribe to reminders (see below), we receive your email address and the contents of your message and use them only to respond and to improve the Site.
Quarterly tax reminder subscriptions
If you choose to sign up for quarterly tax reminders on one of our calculator pages, we collect your email address together with the date and time of your signup (an ISO 8601 timestamp), a record that you gave explicit consent by ticking the consent box, the wording you agreed to, and the page you signed up from. We store this in a Cloudflare KV database in our own Cloudflare account. It is encrypted at rest and is not publicly accessible. We use it only to email you reminders before estimated tax deadlines. We do not sell or share it, we do not store your IP address with it, and signup does not use cookies. Signing up is optional and the calculators work without it. To unsubscribe or have your address deleted, email [email protected] and we will remove it.
Cookies
We do not set our own cookies and we do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security cookies. If you click a sponsored link, the destination company may set cookies on its own site that track the click for affiliate purposes. Those cookies are governed by that company's policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Analytics
We do not currently run analytics tools. If we add them, we will update this policy first and obtain consent where the law requires it.
Affiliate links and advertising
Some cards on the Site are labeled "Sponsored" and link to third-party products. We may earn a commission if you sign up or buy after clicking. We do not share personal information with these companies; once you leave the Site, their privacy policies apply.
How we use information
We use the limited information described above to run and secure the Site, respond to messages and fix errors. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Economic Area), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request correction or deletion, and to object to certain processing. Because we hold little more than the emails people send us, a request is usually simple: email [email protected] and we will respond within the time required by law.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Security
We rely on Cloudflare's infrastructure and HTTPS to protect the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated policy.
